AA Prepaid Credit Card is a Travel Money Card
AA Prepaid Card Review
Accepted in over 30 million locations and over 1.5 million ATMs worldwide, there is a lot to like about the AA Euro and Worldwide Travel Currency MasterCard. There are no card usage fees on overseas transactions and the AA have clearly designed the card as a viable alternative to carrying large sums of money while travelling abroad. The opportunity to earn AA reward points when using the card abroad offers a further incentive, as does the ability to load the card online for free.
What’s not so good?
There is a charge of £1.50/1.50Euros for ATM withdrawals, unless the amount you are withdrawing is £50/50 Euros or more. So it is definitely not a good idea to withdraw in small amounts if it can be avoided.
The card design mirrors the classic AA company colours of yellow and black.
The ATM charge mentioned above stands out as the most important fee to take note of. Aside from that, there is a card issue fee of £9.95 and a replacement card fee of £4.99. Transaction fees both at home and abroad are free.
There are numerous ways to top up your card including bank transfers, debit/credit cards, PayPoint and the Post Office (which carries a 99p loading fee)
