Fees
The lastminute.com card is free to reload, and unlike some prepaid cards, it does not charge a monthly service fee. If you use the card in the UK, you will be charged a transaction fee of 2.75% on each transaction. You will also be charged a £1.50 fee for ATM cash withdraws. If you use the card abroad, you will not be charged a 2.75% UK transaction fee, but will incur a 2.75% foreign exchange fee. So putting it simply, you will be charged 2.75% on all transactions, regardless of whether they take place in the UK or abroad. The lastminute card is a good option for your holiday money, as whilst there is a foreign exchange fee, customers are not stung with high or hidden reload fees, such as the ones charged on most travel cards. |
